Captain of Elmina Sharks, Samuel Arthur banned for the rest of the season and Start of next season

Elmina Sharks will play the rest of the Ghana Premier League without captain Samuel Arthur who has received a Ghana FA disciplinary committee ban spanning to the beginning of next season together with a 5,000 Ghana Cedis fine for various breaches of the Ghana FA disciplinary codes.

Samuel Arthur was found guilty of breaches of the various codes of the Ghana FA disciplinary and other regulations.

Samuel Arthur was seen in a video footage to have verbally abused Referee Eric Owusu
Prempeh after a match between Elmina Sharks and Medeama SC at the Nduom Sports
Complex, He was also found guilty of verbally and physically threatening and acting in an intimidating manner towards Referee Eric Owusu Prempeh.

The Committee having satisfied itself that the evidence adduced before it supports the Charges
against Samuel Arthur, therefore, made the following decisions:

1. That a fine of GHc5000 is hereby imposed on Samuel Arthur, player of Elmina Sharks
for breaching Article 34.3(c)

2. That Samuel Arthur, player of Elmina Sharks FC is hereby suspended for the next four
(4) matches for breaching Article 12(1)(i) of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019)

3. That Samuel Arthur, player of Elmina Sharks FC is suspended for ten(10) matches for
breaching Article 12.1(j) of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019)

4. That Samuel Arthur, player of Elmina Sharks FC is suspended for fifteen (15) matches
for breaching Article 12.1(k) of the Disiciplinary Code (2019).

5. That Samuel Arthur, player of Elmina Sharks FC is additionally suspended for 10
matches for another breach of Article 12.1(j) of the GFA Disciplinary Code
