FC Ludogorets forward Bernard Tekpetey has shown his interest in playing for capital-based heavyweights Accra Hearts of Oak before he brings the curtains down on his playing career.
Many Ghanaian players abroad have shown their interest in playing for Ghana’s most glamorous clubs – Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak – due to a myriad of reasons which includes but not limited to clouts, stature and pedigree of the clubs accompanied with the chance of writing their names in the folklore of domestic football.
The return of Asamoah Gyan has added gloss to the Ghanaian top-flight although he is yet to reach the heights expected of him and Tekpetey wants to walk in the path chartered by a nunber of top stars in the past.
Tekpetey, formerly of Division One League club Unistar Soccer Academy, has expressed his desire to don the Rainbow colours in the nearest future.
“I will love to play for a club like Accra Hearts of Oak because they doing well and I will be happy to be with the club coming years,” he told Gideon Okyere Anim (Gatuso) on Original TV, Sports Punch.
