Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have booked their place in the final of the 2026 WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers after a commanding 4-1 victory over Benin’s Dynamique FC.
The Ghanaian side delivered a dominant performance in Wednesday’s semi-final at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou, continuing their impressive unbeaten run in the competition.
Ampem Darkoa took control early, with Milot Abena Pokuaa opening the scoring in the 17th minute.
The forward was at the heart of the Ghanaian attack and turned provider shortly afterwards, setting up Rebecca Assemani to double the advantage in the 28th minute.
Ampem Darkoa continued to press and were rewarded again when Gloria Adomako added a third goal in the 38th minute, giving the Ghanaian champions a comfortable 3-0 lead at half-time.
Dynamique FC responded immediately after the restart, pulling one goal back in the 47th minute to briefly raise hopes of a comeback.
However, Ampem Darkoa quickly restored their three-goal advantage, with Milot Abena finding the net again in the 66th minute to complete her brace and seal a memorable individual performance.
The victory sends Ampem Darkoa into the final, where they will face Nigeria’s Edo Queens in a repeat of their final group-stage meeting.
Ampem Darkoa had already defeated Edo Queens 2-1 in their final group game after coming from behind, finishing top of their group with a perfect record.
The final is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, with the WAFU B title and a place in the 2026/27 CAF Women’s Champions League at stake.
Milot Abena named Woman of the Match
Milot Abena’s outstanding display was recognised after the match as she was named Woman of the Match.
The Ghanaian No. 21, who scored twice in the semi-final, received her award from Mr Philippe Tchere, Executive Director of WAFU-B.

With Ampem Darkoa now just one victory away from the title, the Ghanaian champions will be hoping to repeat their group-stage success against Edo Queens and secure WAFU B glory.
