Dr. Asiama, who performed the ceremonial tee-off, praised the golfers for their participation and called on the Ghana Golf Association and Achimota Golf Club to work towards hosting a world-class golf tournament in Ghana within the next three years.
According to him, Ghana has the potential to become a major destination for golf tourism and international competitions, adding that the Bank of Ghana would continue to support initiatives that promote the growth of the sport.
The tournament attracted more than 100 amateur golfers from Ghana and across Africa and served as a networking platform ahead of the 3i Africa Summit, which focuses on innovation, impact, and investment within Africa’s digital financial ecosystem.
