Accra Hearts of Oak beat Accra Great Olympics 1-0 to win the second edition of the Democracy Cup on Friday, August 5, 2025 on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
President John Dramani Mahama performed the ceremonial kickoff after greeting both teams.

Both teams fought hard from the opening whistle, showcasing determination and tactical discipline. The first half was a tense affair with numerous chances for both sides, but neither team managed to break the deadlock, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
In the second half, Hearts raised their tempo following key substitutions, and the breakthrough arrived in the 70th minute. Substitute Kwesi Asmah latched onto a precise pass and fired home from inside the box to seal the win.
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, supported by Ga Mantse Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, presented the trophy to the winners.
