The President and Founder of Cheetah FC, Abdul-Hayye Yartey, has expressed immense pride after the club’s U-17 side, the Young Predators, emerged champions of the Central Region Inter-District Colts Championship.
Reflecting on the journey, Yartey revealed that the success was the result of a deliberate restructuring of the club’s youth development system.
“In October 2025, we made a bold decision to restructure our youth setup. We transitioned from a developmental programme that was not competing in official Ghana Football Association (GFA) competitions to a system that enabled our young players to participate in the GFA-recognized Colts League,” he said.
“After winning the Awutu Senya West District Colts Championship, our Young Predators continued their impressive run by claiming the Central Region Inter-District Colts Championship. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our players, coaches, and everyone associated with the club.”

Yartey added that witnessing the triumph firsthand made the victory even more special.
“I was present at the matches, and I felt immense pride watching the lads lift the Central Region title. Their determination, discipline, and teamwork were outstanding. This is just the beginning of what we believe will be a bright future for these talented young footballers.”
He also reaffirmed Cheetah FC’s commitment to nurturing young talent and providing a pathway for promising players to reach the highest levels of Ghanaian and international football.
