2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN): Adomako, Ansu Make Ghana’s Squad For Egypt Trip

Former defensive duo with Young Apostles FC has arrived in Egypt with the Black Galaxies ahead of the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.

The pair starred in the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier league season to earn a place in the locally assembled which has already arrived in Egypt.

Solomon Adomako, who joined Accra Great Olympics from Young Apostles FC, is currently rated as one of the best center backs in the country and deservedly earned a place in the 25-man squad announced by the Ghana Football Association.

The former Young Apostles utility center back is currently the number one choice for the Dade Boys and is expected to lead the defensive pairing at the heart of the backline.

Former teammate, Ansu Henry, who is currently with Berekum Chelsea FC in the Ghana Premier league, also made the trip to Cairo ahead of the tourney openers on January 13.

The pair enjoyed stellar campaigns with their respective teams in the Ghanaian topflight to reroute the media attention onto themselves.

Head coach of the Black Galaxies , Annor Walker, is expected to start the former Young Apostles FC duo when the championship kicks off in Egypt.

Ghana have been assigned to Group C, which includes Morocco, Sudan, and Madagascar, for the tournament, which begins on January 13.
