Former Ghana U20 star, Joseph Adjei did not need a lot of time to settle at his new club Al Diriyah as he starred in the Saudi club’s victory over Jeddah.

The towering center-back started and lasted the entire duration as Diriyah secured a 2-1 victory at the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz stadium.

Adjei was a pillar at the heart of Diriyah’s defence, which for sometime has been porous, and his arrival is expected to solve that problem.

Suleiman Al Saeed broke the game’s deadlock after seven minutes to hand Reinhard Stunf’s side the lead before Tamim Al Dosari doubled the score at the stroke of half time.

Mohammed Fouad pulled one back for Jeddah with twenty minutes left.

However, the imposing figure of Joseph Adjei made it difficult for the Jeddah attackers to find a way pass the Diriyah defence.

Joseph Adjei joined Al Diriyah in the winter transfer window in a mouthwatering deal brokered by Ghanaian football agent Ibrahim Saanie.
