Aduana Stars had gone ten years without a home defeat in the league to Asante Kotoko but Cameroonian striker Georges Mfegue and Richmond Lamptey ended the streak with two goals, one in each half.

Prosper Narteh Ogum’s men dominated the game from start to the end as they inflicted a 2-0 defeat on the home side.

The victory put Asante Kotoko on top of the league table with 23 points, three points above second-placed Aduana Stars.

The win is Kotoko first-ever in the Ghana Premier League since Aduana Stars qualified to the Ghanaian topflight in 2009
