Kofi Manu expresses worries about Fred Acheampong and George Amoako’s inclusion on GFA Executive Committee

Veteran and outspoken Ghanaian football administrator, Kofi Manu has questioned the addition of Fred Acheampong and George Amoako to the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Executive Committee Council.

Fred Acheampong resigned from AshGold SC and George Amoako lost his Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position after Otumfuo Osei Tutu II formed a new Management board.

According to the experienced football administrator, they have no constituency after leaving their respective clubs.

He further questioned whose interest they were serving on the Executive Committee.

According to him, the GFA statutes state that five representatives elected by the premier league clubs shall serve on the committee.

In an Interview with Oyerepa FM, the veteran Football administrator and legal expert, Kofi Manu revealed that, per GFA’s Article 37(6), it emphasizes on Premier, Division One and regional bodies and linking it with the 1992 constitution, Article 97 subsection 1(G) and (H) explain why they cannot be there.
