League leaders Asante Kotoko will battle Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday evening.

Seven points separate the two sides as Wonders sit in 12th place with 2 points after three match days in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors have been impressive this campaign having recorded nine points from the three games.

They managed a 3-1 win on the opening day against Dreams FC before picking victories over Bechem United and Gold Stars in the process.

Dr. Prosper Ogum’s charges will be hoping to add Wonders to their victims to open a 3-point gap after city rivals – who were also on 9 points – suffered a 1-0 defeat in the hands of Berekum Chelsea on Friday afternoon.

Eleven Wonders, on the other hand, have been poor after suffering a 1-0 defeat on match-day 1 to AshantiGold. They went on to draw against Berekum Chelsea and Medeama SC.

They will be hoping to get the best out of Frank Amankwah and Tetteh Nortey in midfield as they come up against Richmond Lamptey, Mudasiru Salifu and Fabio Gama.

Isaac Oppong – who has been involved in 5 of the 6 goals the club has scored is expected to be at his best to continue to impressive display.

Asante Kotoko stepped up preparations for the encounter throughout the week. In the process, they beat lower division side Asekem FC 1-0 in a friendly duel at the Adako-Jachie Training Complex on Wednesday.

Cameroonian import Frank Mbella grabbed the only goal of the game.

Prosper Ogum used the fringe players for the game.

Captain of the side, Abdul Ganiyu who was on national duty also played in the friendly encounter.

Isaac Amoako and Yusif Mubarik are out of the match-day squad for the Saturday game.

Eleven Wonders are expected to be tough customers as Yaw Acheampong will be relying on Razak Issah, former Kotoko forwards Abass Mohammed and Isaac Kwain.
