GPL Wk3: Believers humbled Lions as they return to the Theater of Dreams FC

Dreams FC announced their return to the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu with an impressive 3-1 win over newly promoted Accra Lions FC on Match-Week Three of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League.

Striker Ali Huzaif set the scores rolling with a 12th minute strike before strike-patner Agyenim Boateng scored either side of half time to hand the Belivers the win on their return to Dawu.

Striker Rauf Salifu scored what eventually proved to be the consolation for Accra Lions, his second of the season.

Dreams FC started the match on a good note despite missing three of their top performers of the season so far.

The dominance of the home side paid off early when attacker Ali Huzaif put them into the lead in the opening quarter of an hour.

Strkier Agyenim Boateng Mensah doubled Dreams FC’s lead eight(8) minutes later after out-smarting the Lions defenders to tap home his side’s second.

Accra Lions came back into the game strongly, pulling a goal back through striker Abdul Rauf Salifu in the 23rd minute.

Both sides held on as the first half went to an end with Dreams FC leading 2-1.

The second half started with so much intensity with both sides creating good chances.

Agyenim Boateng had his second of the day and third for the season when he scored in the 69th minute to give Dreams Fc a 3-1 lead, urging them on to seal a second win of the campaign.
