However, Alhaji Akanbi speaking to Adanse3 FM on the progress so far said the player is recuperating and is expected to return to Ghana this weekend to continue with his rehabilitation program which will take place at the Blue Valley Medical Centre in Accra.

“He’s feeling better now and we pray it continues like this when we return to Ghana so that quickly, he can start with training and start playing football. We will be in Ghana this weekend”

Asked about how the player has been feeling after the surgery, Akanbi said; “If anyone were to be in his shoes, definitely you’d be happy because it got to a level, he almost gave up but it wasn’t the fault of anybody, it was unfortunate when the club was preparing him for the surgery, then the Coronavirus pandemic emerged which delayed things until today”
