2023 African Games: Youth and Sports Minister inspects Borteyman Sports Complex Site

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, has inspected the ongoing works at the Borteyman Sports Complex site ahead of the 2023 African Games.

The visit is part of the scheduled monthly inspections by the Minister to monitor the progress of work on various sites.

The inspection also allows the ministry to meet with members of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to deliberate and review various strategies relating to completing the projects.

“Earlier today, I embarked on the monthly inspection of the project site for the Accra 2023 African Games”.

“These monthly inspections and meetings with LOC members, allow us to monitor the progress of work on the various sites as well as review the strategy and approach of the various contractors.

Works on the Borteyman Sports Complex are progressing steadily.

Ghana will host the 13th edition of the African Games and is expected to have over 5,000 athletes from more than 50 countries visit the country.

The 13th version of the African Games will be held in Accra, Ghana in August 2023.
