Asante Kotoko to be dragged to Player Status Committee again over unfair treatment of a player

Representative of immediate-past Asante Kotoko defender Evans Owusu, Eric Alagidede has launched scathing remarks about the Porcupine Warriors owing to the exclusion of Evans Owusu in Kotoko’s registered players for the season.

Alagidede, the erstwhile Communications Director of Karela United made the above remarks following what he deems as an unfair treatment meted to his client – Evans Owusu.

Owusu shot into the limelight during the Normalization Committee Special Competition, where he was deployed as a full back by now Black Stars gaffer Charles Kwabla Akonnor, dazzling with his surging runs and inch-perfect crosses.

Since the arrival of Maxwell Konadu as head coach of Kotoko, Evans has found it difficult to break into the first team and has since been frozen out of the team prior to the start of the upcoming season.

Speaking on the subject matter, Eric Alagidede told Kumasi-based Ashh FM:

“We will drag Asante Kotoko to Ghana Football Association Players Status Committee over unfair treatment of my client [Evans Owusu],”

“The player is having a year contract with Kotoko and they didn’t even register him for the 2020/21 GPL,” he explained.

He added: “We are preparing a documents of termination of contract which will be given to Kotoko soon,”.
What I wants is Kotoko should pay the player because Evans Owusu is having contract with Kotoko,”

“Asante Kotoko wanted to destroy my client Evans Owusu. I’m disappointed in Kotoko how they treat my client,” he retorted.
