Ghana Premier League 2026/27: Matchday 1 Results & Early Table

The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League began with an entertaining opening weekend, producing 17 goals in eight matches.

Hearts of Oak lead the early standings on goal difference after their emphatic 4-0 win over Berekum Chelsea. John Antwi scored twice, with Kader Mamadu and Ali Mohammed also finding the net.

Vision FC made an equally impressive start, beating Young Apostles 3-0. Two 16-year-olds stole the spotlight, with Naziru Alhassan Nyenye scoring in the fourth minute and Setsofia Aqetey netting twice.
Defending champions Samartex began their title defence with a 3-1 home victory over Karela United.

Meanwhile, Debibi United earned an impressive point on their Premier League debut after coming from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Asante Kotoko.

Bechem United 1-0 Bibiani Gold Stars

Debibi United 2-2 Asante Kotoko – Kotoko led twice (Yakubu Dogo, Hubert Gyau) but debutants Debibi rescued a point with Richard Owusu brace

Heart of Lions 0-0 Aduana Stars

Port City FC 1-1 FC AshantiGold ’04 – AshGold got the first red card of the season.

Samartex 3-1 Karela United – Defending champs close the weekend with a home win

Postponed:

Dreams FC vs Medeama SC – postponed due to Medeama’s CAF Champions League preliminary round.
