Midfielder Sulley Muniru has bid an emotional farewell to Asante Kotoko hours after the club announced his exit.
The club on Friday released a statement signed by acting communications director, David Obeng Nyarko, Asante Kotoko noted that the decision takes effect immediately with no compensation going for the player.
Muniru who made just five appearances for the club took his Social media page and thank the club for the time he spent over there. He also expressed his wish to return to the club in future when the opportunity avail itself.
“I will like to than Asante Kotoko Supporters and management , especially Nana Yaw Amponsah who is a senior brother to me for the opportunity to play for such a great club of my childhood dream. When the call came for me to serve this club although for short period between the European transfer window, I welcomed it wholeheartedly and I’m glad to served. Many refuse to come back home when the need arises but I am glad accepted the challenge.
“It’s time for another European adventure and thank management for staying through their word and sticking to our initial agreement. I will relish this opportunity another time without hesitation.
