Kumasi-based heavyweights Asante Kotoko SC have written to the Ghana Football Association for a change of home venue in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League
Asante Kotoko, record holders of the Ghana Premier League, have already started their premier league games at the Accra Sports Stadium – sharing the spoils with Techiman Eleven Wonders on match day one.
However, the top brass of the Porcupine Warriors according to news emanating from the grapevine suggest the club would want the venue to be changed following the jam-packed nature of the nation’s Wembley – with Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Legon Cities and Inter Allies all using the facility as their home venue.
The alternative option to the above-named match venue is the Tamale Sports stadium, which has been rechristened Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in the Northern regional capital, Tamale per the letter written to the Ghana Football Association.
